It’s been an incredible journey since we launched Bobi Agribusiness Institute, and we’re thrilled to share some of the progress we’ve made so far. With your support, we’ve been able to transform our vision into a reality, and the dedication of our students is shining through in everything they do.

From harvesting groundnuts to planting acres of crops, and building greenhouses to learning new farming techniques, the students at BAI have been hard at work—growing not just crops, but their skills, knowledge, and confidence. We couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved together in such a short amount of time.

Meet Ivan: A Story of Resilience

One of the most inspiring parts of our journey so far has been watching the students grow—not just academically, but personally. Ivan, one of our founding students, has a story that perfectly captures the spirit of BAI. His resilience and dedication to his studies and to agribusiness reflect the very heart of what we stand for. Ivan came to us with a vision for his future, and he’s been working hard to make that vision a reality. His story is a reminder of why we do what we do—helping students like him build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Achievements in Agriculture

Student Success: Achievements in Agriculture

Our founding class of students completed their first term, and what an amazing term it was! They not only mastered the classroom lessons but also got their hands dirty in the fields, harvesting one acre of groundnuts and moving on to guava for juice production. These efforts are just the beginning of our goal for BAI to become a self-sustaining institute, teaching students not only the theory of agribusiness but the practical skills they’ll need to thrive in the industry.

Additionally, we’re excited to share that two new greenhouses have been completed—one for propagation and another for production. These greenhouses will play a crucial role in our horticulture program, giving students hands-on experience in growing and managing crops that are vital to the local economy.

Building Community Through Agriculture and Faith

At BAI, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom and the fields. We’re building a community rooted in faith, hope, and hard work. This is reflected in everything we do, from the formation of our student football team—who recently played against the Watoto Gulu teams—to the sustainable farming practices we’re implementing on campus.

We’re proud to say that our goats now graze using a rotational system with an electric fence—a milestone for Uganda’s sustainable agriculture. And just recently, we welcomed a new addition to our herd: Azaela, a baby goat born right here at BAI!

Building Community

Looking Forward: What’s Next for BAI

Our journey is just beginning, and there’s so much more to come. Construction is already underway on our piggery workstation, which will provide even more opportunities for students to learn about livestock management and agricultural production. We’re also in the final stages of completing more greenhouses, which will serve as both a production hub and a resource for community development.

Thank You for Your Continued Support

We want to take a moment to thank YOU—our incredible supporters. Without your generous donations, prayers, and encouragement, none of this would be possible. Together, we’re not just educating future agribusiness leaders; we’re transforming lives through faith, hard work, and opportunity.
